CSU’s Canvas Stadium is a premier event destination in Northern Colorado. It hosts both university events, such as CSU Rams football game days, and non-university events such as concerts.  

CSU works with the City of Fort Collins and neighborhoods to minimize impacts outside of the campus footprint during large events and on game day.

When a large-scale event is planned at the stadium, neighbors can expect a temporarily higher volume of vehicle traffic as well as higher volume use of bike and scooter trails and transit. CSU provides event parking on campus for event attendees.

CSU and city officials work together to ensure that neighborhood parking permits are enforced when an event with anticipated attendance exceeding 12,000 is scheduled.

The university’s calendar is provides dates and times for all large-scale events at Canvas Stadium.

Traffic around Main Campus may temporarily increase when large-scale events are planned.

CSU very rarely closes city roads for events, but some roads and parking lots on Main Campus may be closed to facilitate safety measures for large events.

When events are held on campus, CSU plans for event parking on campus and communicates that information to participants.

The City of Fort Collins may monitor noise during large events that may be audible in neighborhoods. Audible noise from events may be influenced by weather such as wind and humidity.

The duration of large-scale events at CSU can vary depending upon the event, weather delays, contractual obligations such as televised events, and other considerations. Each year, a small number of events are held at Canvas Stadium that may be audible outside of the stadium.
